Family Support Worker

My name is Rachel Stearn, and I am the new Family Support Worker in school. My role is to support both pupils and parents/carers around any issues or worries you may be facing. I am also here as someone to talk with if you need a friendly ear. I may not have all the answers, but together we can work out how to find them.

We can look at new ways of managing common family issues such as, sibling rivalry, anxiety, wellbeing, sleep and challenging behaviours.  I will also be able to provide information, advice and guidance to other services that may be able to help more.

I am in school to support pupils and can promote self-esteem and confidence, good attendance, wellbeing and positive attitudes through 1:1 support.   If you would like to meet for some advice and support you can speak with the class teacher or school office, and they will put you in touch with me. Alternatively, you can contact me directly by email -

I will be in school on Tuesdays between 8.30am and 11.30am.

I look forward to meeting you.

Rachel Stearn
