Music Lessons

Music forms an important part of life at Oakington. As well as music lessons in class, all children participate in musical productions at Christmas and in the Summer Term. There is a lunchtime choir club and many pupils also learn to play instruments including piano, trumpet, guitar and drums.

Instrumental lessons are given during the school day by various instrument tutors who come in to the school. To arrange this, or for more details, please contact the school office here.

Piano - Margaret Woods-Nunn

If your child qualifies as Pupil Premium, please speak to the Headteacher about funding for lessons and music books.

Ruth and Poppy Nicholas Music Fund

This fund was set up when a keen local musician donated a large sum of money to fund high quality musical events for the children. The fund has provided music workshops and concerts for the school, raising the profile of music and providing enrichment opportunities for our pupils. We now rely on donations towards this fund to continue the positive impact it has made and any contributions would be much appreciated.
