In 2019, we began to develop and implement out Outdoor Learning Curriculum. We strongly believe that taking learning outdoors can be highly effective and engaging for all pupils. With beautiful grounds on and around the school site, we are making use of this fantastic space to bring to life many areas of the curriculum. Boasting a large field, a lovely nature reserve, an outdoor classroom as well as the picturesque rural village in which we are located, curriculum objectives feed nicely into exploring our amazing environment. We are also in the process of developing a quiet garden featuring an outdoor library for use throughout the school day.
All classes experience outdoor learning every week, including Reception class who enjoy 'Wild Woods' activities in our nature reserve, such as tree climbing, fire starting and den building.
