Oakington C of E Primary is a small, rural village school north-west of Cambridge. With around 120 children on roll, the school is smaller than the average-sized primary school.
At Oakington C of E Primary School we strive for excellence, looking to enable all children to reach their full potential and make accelerated progress through high expectations, ensuring we know each child as an individual.
Underpinning our vibrant, exciting and friendly village school are our Christian values which create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone is respected, as well as being ambitious, committed to achievement and success.
Our school motto is 'Inspire. Dream. Achieve.' and we believe that through building children's confidence and inspiring them with creative and engaging teaching we are able to grow a life-long love of learning and ultimately help them achieve their potential. We are proud of our high quality teaching and learning in a supportive environment for all, where children are encouraged to celebrate each other’s successes as well as their own. We pride ourselves on having a warm and family feel to our school life and highly value the partnership with parents, carers and community, acknowledging the need for these to work closely together for children to reap the maximum benefit from their time with us.
Choosing a school for your child is a very important and sometimes daunting decision. We hope that the information you find on our website will give you a good insight into the kind of school we are. We have had a period of immense change in improvement over the last couple of years and are looking forward to the exciting future that lies ahead. We hope we can be a part of your child's educational journey, and would love to speak with you and show you our school in action.
The school is committed to open and regular communication with those directly involved with the school and the wider community. Please call our school office to arrange a time to visit us or discuss with us any questions you may have.
